Strong relationships between builders and Realtors can help create a smoother new construction experience for everyone involved. This course explores the unique considerations of buying and selling new construction, including production vs. custom building, warranties, disclosures, walkthroughs, deposits, repairs, and handling disputes. Attendees will also gain a better understanding of the BIA/Greater Louisville Association of Realtors Substantially Completed New Construction Contract and how to help set clear expectations for consumers throughout the process.

This course explores the top questions and challenges that arise during the new construction process and how builders, Realtors, and consumers can work together for a successful experience. Topics include managing timelines and expectations, warranties, walkthroughs, change orders, construction lending, inspections, surveys, delays, and communication throughout the building process. Attendees will gain practical strategies for avoiding common pitfalls and creating stronger relationships between builders, agents, and consumers.
